Privacy policy

QR Warranty Register processes information on behalf of Shopify merchants so their customers can register products and verify warranty coverage.

Information we process

We process store and product identifiers, order references used for verification, serial numbers, purchase dates, customer names and email addresses, warranty status, and technical security logs. We only request Shopify permissions needed to provide these features.

How information is used

Information is used to verify purchases and serial numbers, create warranty records, send transactional messages, prevent abuse, respond to privacy requests, and operate the service. We do not sell personal information or use warranty data for third-party advertising.

Service providers and retention

Data is hosted in PostgreSQL. Cloudflare R2 stores generated files, and Resend delivers transactional email. Data is retained while the merchant uses the app or as needed to provide warranty records. Verified Shopify redaction requests remove or anonymize personal data, and shop data is deleted following the shop-redaction webhook.

Your choices

Customers should contact the merchant that collected their warranty registration. Merchants can also contact [email protected]for access, correction, deletion, or security questions.
